On June 20, 2018, the third year students of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Power Engineering and Electrics, for the fourth year of the study, met with the Heads of the Department and the Curator of the Program in order to define the elective blocks and obtain additional information.

On June 19, 2018, the GNERC presented an innovative project of service quality monitoring - "Electronic Magazine". This program provides real-time monitoring of the performance of commercial quality standards of service by the distribution companies operating in the energy and water sectors.

"Telasi" and Georgian Technical University signed memorandum of cooperation.
On June 12, 2018, memorandum of cooperation was signed between “Telasi” and Georgian Technical University. The document was signed by the Rector of the University - Archil Prangishvili and "Telasi" Director General - Sergei Kobtsev.

On June 8, 2018, a seminar on "Internet Basics and Database Analytics" was held at the Faculty of Power Engineering and Telecommunication of Georgia.

On May 22, 2018, the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Georgian Technical University and the National Technical University of Ukraine, "Dnipro Polytechnic".

On 7 May 2018 the Energy Veterans Union held a meeting with veteran energy engineers who participated in  World War II. The meeting was attended by the faculty dean and the heads of the department.

On March 27, 2018, faculty staff listened to the information about the mechanisms and regularities of formation of large landslides and overheads in seismically active and glacier nearby zones.

From February 26 to March 1, 2018, TGU Faculty of Power Engineering and Telecommunication workshop of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization of Energy Management Systems and ISO 50001 was held.

On February 17, 2018, the Faculty of Power Engineering and Telecommunication of GTU held the open scientific conference " Power Engineering and Environment".

Under the initiative of Professor Archil Samadashvili, Head of Industrial Operations and Operations Management Department, memorandum of cooperation was signed between Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ltd. "Georgian Post" and "Georgian Technical University".

Energy Program (UEP) of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), worth $ 7.5 million, has been activated in accordance with the obligations under the Energy Union Agreement.

Rector of the National Technical University of Ukraine visited GTU and Faculty

On February 15, 2018, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia held a meeting on the topic: Law on Renewable Energy. The faculty staff participated in the discussion.
