In the October-November 2020 the German-language newspaper Caucasus Post, an extensive article was published on the cooperation between Georgian Technical University and the Saarland University of Technology and Economics, which discusses the cooperation between the two universities, which dates back to 1989. Gennady Iashvili, Professor at GTU Faculty of Business Technology, and Wolfgang Bloombach, Professor at Saarland University of Technology and Economics, have made significant contributions to this.
Today the German side is represented by Wilhelm Hauser and other German professors (Stefan Hutter, Domenic Shug, Malte Bainhauer).
