Levan Klimiashvili – Midterm  exams were the dress rehearsal of the Technical University for final exams

In a pandemic, the Georgian Technical University was able to convert the educational process into electronic format quickly - said Vice-Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Levan Klimiashvili. Today, GTU’s electronic platform has strong technical support. Midterm exams at the Technical University began on May 18 and ended on May 23. Midterm exams were passed by 15,500 students remotely. Examinations were conducted simultaneously on two portals: elearning.gtu.ge and testing.gtu.ge. In general, the Midterm exams at the Georgian Technical University were held in 2,581 subjects and were attended by 15,500 students that is 83% of students with active status.
The Technical University operates in accordance with a government decree. We will continue lectures and a number of practical classes online until June 27, in order to comply with the mandatory safety standards and prevent a large number of students from entering the university.
Final exams will begin on July 20. While the format of the exams is unknown, it all depends on the current situation.
