Attention for the students
The 2020 edition of Maltepe University International Communication Students Congress (ICSC 2020) will focus on the main theme of "Content Creation and Collaborative Thinking." The most important feature of the conference is that the speakers will consist of BA/MA and Phd. students, typically affiliated to communication programs. All the students are welcome to be a part of our congress with their articles, dialogues, notes, posters, videos and further comments. Participants must present at least one paper at the congress.

GTU Professors have attended the First International Assembly on Caucasus Wine Route
Nino Chkhartishvili and Tamar Koblianidze, Professors of the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences and Biosystems Engineering and Business Technologies of the Georgian Technical University have attended the First General Assembly of the Caucasus Wine Route in Baku, Azerbaijan (January 27, 2020)
According to Nino Chkhartishvili, the Action Plan and directions of activities for the Caucasus Route 2020 were defined at the Assembly.
To share the experience, the wine industry representatives of the participating countries will conduct trainings on wine production and wine tourism development. Wine and vine-loving youth will visit vineyards, tour wineries and learn about the viticulture and winemaking cultures of countries such as France, Croatia, Israel, Spain, Portugal and Georgia.
During the event, President of the European Vine and Wine Cultural Route Emanuella Panke and President of the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture and Tourism Diana Dodi held workshops on wine tourism development.
In addition, the Baku meeting discussed the need to bring ITER VITIS and Georgian Technical University closer in the sphere of science and education.
Prior to the visit to Azerbaijan, on January 25, President of the European Wine Association ITER VITIS Emanuela Panke visited Georgia and met with Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Levan Kharatishvili.
The meeting was also attended by the participants of ITER VITIS one week internship in Sicily and the founders of the Association ITER VITIS Georgia-Caucasus Tamar Koblianidze, Maya Meladze, Gocha Khorava, Nino Chkhartishvili and Lela Kochlamazashvili
"The European Wine Route, which holds Georgia as an honorable place of wine country, has been known since 2017. Its aim is to preserve the biodiversity of the wine, highlight its uniqueness in today's global world, promote the material and intangible culture of wine, Georgian Wine History is represented in the ITER-VITIS route as as vines and wine-related cultural heritage, such as churches, museums or archaeological sites "- said the deputy minister.
ITTER VITIS Wine Route brings together more than 19 countries. They include Georgia, which is a wine tourism association.
It is noteworthy that on June 22-23, 2019, with the financial support of ITER-VITIS, Georgian Technical University, Regional Center for Consulting and New Professions, and the wine industry Khareba, Georgian students were trained at Italian wineries. That will go on again.
Expansion of ITER VITIS network in Georgia is planned in the near future that’s why the ITER VITIS Georgia-Caucasus Association is being established.
