28-10-2019

Public Lecture Cycle - Dr. Gotthard Steiner’s Lecture

On October 25, 2019, a German lawyer from Munich, Dr. Gottard Steiner delivered a lecture on Current Problems in Property Management in Germany at the Business Technologies Faculty of Georgia Technical University. The lecture was attended by undergraduate students and professors of the Faculty.
Dr. Steiner noted that property management issues are a priority in Germany. He talked about the specific issues: price-setting factors, rent taxes, and challenges in the housing market in general. He noted that the joint decisions need to be developed - from the perspective of policy, community and real estate development.

Dr. Steiner informed the students about a number of challenges of building business in Germany, namely: the lack of construction land in the most prestigious areas; In addition, the regulations significantly increased construction costs; This is compounded also by the lack of qualified staff.

The lecture has deserved great approval of the students and professors. At the end of the lecture Dr. Steiner answered the students' questions and a discussion was held..
The lecture was delivered in German. Assistant professor Besarion Sherazadashvili provided synchronous translation from Germany into Georgian language..
