Internship Report
In cooperation with the ITER VITIS European Wine and Vine Cultural Routes Program, on the initiative of the faculties of "Business Technologies" and "Agrarian Sciences and Biosystems Engineering" and "Regional Center for Consulting and New Professions", on June 22-23, 2019, the international student conference “Wine as a Resource for Social-Economic Development and Country’s Identity” was held. The best 7 students were awarded a one-week internship in Sambuca-di-Sicily (Italy).
On September 9, students of the Faculty of Business Technologies: Mariam Zaalishvili and Jana Antonyan left for Italy. For a week, Jean and Mary visited Sicily's wine companies. Internships were also complemented by cultural events: cultural events were organized specifically for Georgian students. Later (on September 16) the student of "Faculty of Agrarian Sciences and Biosystems Engineering" Sophio Chabashvili replaced them. The other students Anzor Alashvili and Erosi Balavadze will be involved in the program from September 30.
The event was properly evaluated by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. Deputy Minister Levan Kharatishvili sent a letter of gratitude to the European Cultural Routes Headquarters in Luxembourg; Teona Jakeli, Head of the Ministry's Cultural Routes Division, also thanked ITER VITIS Project Manager Emanuella Panke.
Hopefully this program will continue in the future and further strengthen our relationship with Europe; Another small step on our way back to the European family of our country! "More Europe in Georgia and More Georgia in Europe"
