The Council of Europe is pleased to announce a grant competition for the universities to respect diversity and combat discrimination.
The grant competition aims to raise public awareness in the following areas:
- dissemination of discrimination, hate crime and hate speech and its negative impact on human well-being, vulnerable groups and the wider public in Georgia;
- the rights and diversity of minorities and other vulnerable groups in Georgian society;
- mechanisms for legal protection of victims of discrimination, hate-motivated crime and hate speech;
- What is the contribution of human rights, democratic values and Georgian anti-discrimination laws for provision of peace and prosperity in Georgia?
Projects can be submitted by the universities of Tbilisi, Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Adjara. The maximum budget for each project is € 4,000.
Deadline for submitting projects: October 17, 2019.
