At the April 2019 meeting of the Bologna Monitoring Group in Bucharest, the organizers presented a concept - "The future of the European Higher Education Area: Remembering the past, foresee the future", which aims to "set the European Higher Education Area for governance and thematic priorities for the next period of 2020". What major changes / improvements will be needed in higher education to enable the universities by 2030 to play their fundamental role in shaping society; What should be the main priorities for the future?

According to the opinion of Business Technologies Faculty priorities of GTU are: 1. The social role of higher education. 2. Innovative flexible and relevant learning and teaching, 3. Governance and autonomy, which should be emphasized at the Rome 2020 European Ministerial in Higher Education Area
