1. EU Studies Fair 2011, Brussels, Belgium (11-12 February 2011)
 
This two-day education fair and networking event will bring together universities, prospective students, academic institutions and business professionals.
The focus of the event is career advancement for young professionals by presenting postgraduate programmes in EU Studies, International Relations, Business, Law and internship opportunities.

2. Vacancy: Rector of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences

3. European Forum on Philanthropy and Research Funding 2010 Annual Conference Stuttgart, Germany (7-8 December)
 
The 4th annual conference of the European Forum for Philanthropy and Research Funding “Nurturing Talent: the role of Foundations in building human capacity in research” will focus on how foundations and other funders work with the researchers they support to foster creativity and innovation, and encourage mobility, international networking and the development of the research leaders of tomorrow. The issue of how universities and foundations can work together to build human capacity will also be addressed.
The deadline for registration is 19 November 2010.

4. Launch of Irish Research Publications web-based portal – RIAN.ie
 
Ireland’s new Research Publications Portal (RIAN.ie) was launched on 20 October 2010 to highlight Ireland’s contribution to ‘International Open Access Week’.

5. German Rectors’ Conference launches new Nexus project
 
The German Rectors' Conference (HRK) has launched a new project entitled “Nexus” which aims to support universities and higher education institutions in their efforts to design and advance their bachelor and master programmes.
