Within the framework of the International Staff Mobility Program of the Erasmus+ KA107 project, representatives of Georgian Technical University attended International Staff Training Week organized by the University of Tuscia – UNITUS (Viterbo, Italy). The week was held on May 23-27, 2022.

The event was attended by the representatives of various Universities around the world. Georgian Technical University was represented by the following persons: Marika Zviadadze (International Relations Department), Lali Kloiani (Quality Assurance Service), Luka Kemoklidze (Horizon Europe National Office), Gina Gureshidze (Faculty of Civil Engineering).

UNITUS Rector Prof. Stefano Ubertini and the Delegate of International Relations Prof. Simone Severini delivered the speeches at the welcome session.

It was organized icebreaking activities, international bridging (Double or Joint Degree) for Staff Week participants. University members made presentations about UNITUS policy of internationalization, staff activities and resilience in the academia for international relations; history and culture of Tuscia region and Viterbo city; research for innovative practices in emergency management of Erasmus community / UNITUS Ripec Experience; Erasmus Capacity Building and Cooperation Partnerships Projects at UNITUS - MENVIPRO, VRAILEXIA, JOULE, DiFree, MAP4ACCESSIBILITY. Also it was held the session about KA 171 for the administrative staff.

After the presentation, Sonia Maria Melchiorre presented her books - “Georgia on my mind: English language and discursive practices in Georgian culture” (published together with Prof. Manana Ruseishvili) to Georgian guests.

UNITUS organized Viterbo city tour for the event participants. Herewith Staff Week participants had the opportunity to visit botanical garden of  UNITUS, University Experimental Farm, Viterbo thermal baths, also Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city and Orvieto.
