On the 16th of November was held another Partnership Meeting within Erasmus+ VitaGLOBAL project conducted via the Zoom platform because of the Covid-19 pandemic (the 10th online meeting).

During the meeting with the participation of the representatives of project consortium PC and EU universities, Project Coordinators Elizabeth Colucci and Nicolas Patrici (OBREAL Global Observatory, Spain) extensively discussed planned activities during 2020/2021, that are to be accomplished within the project implementation, including the issues related to virtual workshop with respect to the raising awareness and development of University–Industry relationships.

During the meeting were discussed online coaching issues for the Vita modules implementation as well.

Special attention was made to “think piece” drafted by OBREAL on modularization and its relation to re-thinking teaching and learning.

Project Coordinators also discussed the issues related to the implementation of several additional activities that haven’t been in the initial project work plan but which could be implemented to align some aspects of the project with the new realities caused by Pandemic.

The representative of GTU at the Partnership Meeting were Prof. Nino Chkhartishvili, Active Head of the Viticulture and Winery Department, and Assistant Tamar Sachaneli (for Academic issues) and Assist. Prof. Nino Zhizhilashvili, Deputy Head of International Relations and Standards Office (for Internationalization issues).

It should be noted that Georgian Technical University is participating in Erasmus+ Project VitaGlobal - “A Global Network for Agricultural Sciences and Viniviticulture: Internationalising through Joint Programmes” (598507EEP-1-2018-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) as a project consortium member.

The main objective of the project VitaGLOBAL is to develop a global university network, connecting diverse geographic regions with limited pre-existing cooperation, in order to enhance study programmes that contribute to local development, specifically in food science and viniviticulture, foci mentioned universities share.

The coordinators of the project are Universitat Rovira I Virgili – URV and OBREAL Global Observatory (Spain). Project consortium consists of 17 institutions from Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, South Africa and Georgia.
