On 9 November was held Zoom meeting regarding the presentation related to the syllabus developed under Module 1 (New Tendencies in Microbiology, Wine Aging and Wine Safety) within Erasmus+ VitaGLOBAL project.

Assistant Tamar Sachaneli from the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Biosystems Engineering conducted online presentation to interested students and faculties and administrative personnel, including Prof. Nino Chkhartishvili (Active Head of the Viticulture and Winery Department); Assoc. Prof. Lia Amiranashvili (Head of the Department of Agrarian Technologies); Prof. David Maghradze (Viticulture and Winery Department); Assist. Prof. Nino Zhizhilashvili (Deputy Head of GTU International Relations and Standards Office).

Ms. Sachaneli briefly presented project VitaGLOBAL and developed Module of New Tendencies in Microbiology, Wine Aging and Wine Safety. She talked about its components as well as appropriate literature and educational resources. Herewith Assistant Sachaneli discussed new challenges related to the different syllabus structure, different credit system, etc. 

It should be noted that Georgian Technical University is participating in Erasmus+ Project VitaGlobal - “A Global Network for Agricultural Sciences and Viniviticulture: Internationalising through Joint Programmes” (598507EEP-1-2018-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) as a project consortium member.

The main objective of the project VitaGLOBAL - “A Global Network for Agricultural Sciences and Viniviticulture: Internationalising through Joint Programmes” - is to develop a global university network, connecting diverse geographic regions with limited pre-existing cooperation, in order to enhance study programmes that contribute to local development, specifically in food science and viniviticulture, foci these universities share.

The coordinator of the project is Universitat Rovira I Virgili – URV (Spain). The main objective of the project VitaGLOBAL is to develop a global university network, connecting diverse geographic regions with limited pre-existing cooperation, in order to enhance study programmes that contribute to local development, specifically in food science and viniviticulture, foci mentioned universities share.

The coordinator of the project is Universitat Rovira I Virgili – URV (Spain). Project consortium consists of 17 institutions from Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, South Africa and Georgia.
