Erasmus+ - Representative of UVa at GTU

On 15-20 May, 2019 Prof. Manuel Barrio from the University of Valladolid (Spain) had been visiting Georgian Technical University within Erasmus+ mobility project for training activities, coordinated by UVa.
The aim of his mobility was the presentation of the institution as well as to consider the opportunities, problems and prospects; innovation practices leading to high quality teaching and learning; educational modernization; cooperation, research and fostering of innovations.
Being at GTU Spanish guest found out more about educational processes and available study opportunities at the University. He visited University Central Library and popular GTU museums at the Department of Geology.
Mr. Barrio met with Prof. Irina Gotsiridze, the Head of Bio-Medical Department and academic staff and students of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems. He visited Faculty’s popular labs and became familiar with ongoing educational-research processes and students activities.
Mobility schedule also included working meetings with the representatives of GTU International Relations and Standards Office. Spanish Professor met Prof. Otar Zumburidze, Head of International Relations and Standards Office. Mr. Barrio conducted interesting presentation about UVa, about his professional activities and achievements for the Georgian colleagues at the Office and they were able to become acquainted with Spain and the University of Valladolid.
