Erasmus+ - AKU Research Scientists Mobility Activities for Training at GTU

04/03/2019 Erasmus+ - AKU Research Scientists Mobility Activities for Training at GTUOn 11-15 March Research Assistants Recep Kurtulus and Cansu Kurtulus from Afyon Kocatepe University – AKU (Turkey) visited Georgian Technical University for training activities within Erasmus+ mobility project coordinated by AKU.

Recep Kurtulus and Cansu Kurtulus are from AKU Faculty of Technology. During their mobility stay at GTU they visited the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, met with Prof. Zviad Kovziridze and other Georgian colleagues and delivered presentation about geopolymer materials and their importance in construction sector.   

Young Turkish scientists visited GTU popular museums of mineralogy and petrography and University library and became familiar with ongoing educational and research processes at the Technical University.

Mobility schedule included working meetings at GTU International Relations and Standards Office as well. At the meetings with the representatives of GTU International Relations and Standards Office, Turkish scientists talked about Turkish educational system and AKU. They also delivered very attractive presentation about Afyon to Georgian colleagues.

Mobility program covered social and cultural activities as well as sightseeing tour in Tbilisi.
