Archil Prangishvili

Rector, Georgian Technical University, TBILISI

Dear Archil Prangishvili,

I would like to invite faculty and students at Georgian Technical University, TBILISI to participate in two new challenges organized by the United Nations and its partners. Both challenges invite researchers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, and other creative minds to apply their skills to build open-source solutions for tackling global challenges.

Crowdsourcing evidence and best practices on the benefits of diversity and inclusion in emerging technologies

Share data, evidence and best practices to be featured in an Inclusion and Diversity Report for companies, entrepreneurs and start-ups. Deadline October 31st, 2019.

FutureSkills: Forecast skill trends to help governments and individuals prepare for a transforming world of work. The winning submissions will be featured at a conference organized by the Abdul Latif Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.

Participation can range from submitting new ideas and research to developing full-fledged solutions. In every case, getting involved should prove rewarding.

I thank you for sharing this invitation widely, including with your faculty of engineering, computer science, mathematics, business, statistics, as well as with business incubators, accelerators, and entrepreneurship and social responsibility centers.

Details, registration information and challenge deadlines are available through the Unite Ideas platform: https://ideas.unite.un.org/.

Both challenges have already kicked off and the competition is ongoing! The first deadline is October 31st.

We look forward to receiving great solutions from your institution.

Best regards,

Mr. Jorge MARTINEZ NAVARRETE
